It was a great day at Murphy’s on the beach in Cherry Grove. Dan Summitt kicked off the Veterans Day celebration at 11am with Classic Rock, Country and Patriotic Tunes. Root 65 cranked it up at 5 pm by performing a rousing rendition of the Star Spangled Banner that had every one singing and waving flags. It was a stirring moment. If you’ve not had the opportunity to hear Root 65 you are missing a treat. Their talent is only outweighed by their personalities. These are great guys. Squirrel prepared his world famous barbecue with all the trimmings. None better in the Carolinas. Deborah Mason pulled all the stops to make this a great event. Murphy’s donated all proceeds to the VWHRC. We certainly hope this becomes an annual event. Thanks everyone.
